life is beautiful

Life is about more than happiness and joy. It's a combination of the ecstatic highs of birthdays, anniversaries, promotions, births, vacations, and graduations and the unimaginable lows of serious medical conditions, end of life, and death. It's from these difficult circumstances we come to value joy and love.

I tell visual stories for families who are navigating through these long minutes, hours, days, months, and years. I create photographic narratives of life.

No matter what kind of grief you feel, I want to reflect how beautiful you and your family are, even in crisis. In these moments I see how fully you love and care for each other, and that's something I think you need to see for yourself.

medical journey photography

Treatments, clinic visits for followup, procedures . . . it's a long road. Seeing the journey as a story can be a beautiful and poignant experience for the person receiving treatment as well as your family. With these photographs, it's possible to look back and see the relationships that made even the hardest days a little more bearable.

The investment in photography of a medical journey begins at $250 per session. The average family schedules a monthly visit over the course of about six months and invests around $3,000 in albums and art.

Portraits late in life have a certain magic about them. There is peace and joy in these moments, even among swirling distraction. Focus becomes clear and the awareness of limited time encourages conversations that may have otherwise been avoided.

These stories may include legacy portraits, bucket list trips, and hospice care. They brim with experience, wonder, and love, and they are important parts of your family's history to pass on to future generations.

The investment in photography near the end of life begins at $250 per session. The average family schedules two visits and invests in $2,600 in albums and art.

There are definitely tears involved. There are also family members who haven't seen each other in years, people sharing stories while laughing out loud, and lots and lots of hugging. In these moments people have a vast and humble appreciation for the ties that bind them to others and the time they have to share with them. Seeing that in photographs is moving beyond words.

The investment for a service begins at $600. The average family chooses photography for the service and and reception and invests $2,800 in albums and art.
